The Canadian System of Soil Classification app prompts you with questions about a particular soil, and by answering yes or no, allows you to classify the soil to the subgroup level.
This application uses the same logic found in the classification key of The Canadian System of Soil Classification Manual.
The app also includes a glossary of soil terms.
Field Handbook for the Soils of Western Canada
The intent for the Field Handbook for the Soils of Western Canada is two-fold: 1) to simplify the use of the Canadian System of Soil Classification in the field and 2) to allow field testing of a new soil order for Anthroposolic soils, which has been proposed for inclusion in the Canadian System of Soil Classification.
